Creative Gift Wrapping
Hiya friends and happy holidays! I love this time of year because it really gives me a chance to get super creative with all the cookie decorating, holiday crafting, and gift wrapping! Gift wrapping can be super fun when you think outside the standard wrapping paper roll! Read on for my ideas on creative gift wrapping techniques!
Use your fabric scraps to create fun gift wrap! Wrap up your gift in a special fabric, or create bows and flowers using your fabric scraps to create a one-of-a-kind wrapped gift.
Have you ever made a paper snowflake? Take this fun activity up a notch by using your fabric scraps to create colorful and fun decorations for packages. Glue them right on to plain paper for wrapping or use a fabric stiffener when you want your snowflakes to hold their own on top of the package or on ribbon.
Create your own holiday word search with clues to the recipient on what’s inside your gift! Find a free word search generator on the web, print out your puzzle, and tape the pages together to create a fun (and handy!) wrapping paper.
The chalkboard trend is everywhere so why not on your holiday presents too? Just snag some mat black paper from a hobby store and wrap your gifts up, then use paint pens to scribe your recipient’s name, thoughtful notes, or decorations right on the wrap!
Give the recipient something fun to do by creating a gift wrap activity! Use plain white or craft paper and non-toxic paints to paint on a gingerbread house, Christmas tree, snowman, or other holiday-themed shape and include crayons, stickers, and other embellishments on the package. The recipient will have a great time making the wrapping paper a work of art!
Have an old paint can lying around? Clean it up and decorate with washi tape, stickers, or decorative duct tape for a wrapped gift that’s definitely out of the box!
I hope this gives you some great ideas on how to be more creative this season when wrapping your gifts! Do you have a perfect idea for prettifying paper? Post it on my Facebook page! I always love seeing what you’re up to.
